Hamilton is proud to participate in the 2024 Mammoth Hike Challenge! Sponsored by the Ice Age Trail Alliance, the Challenge runs for the month of October. Started in 2020, the Challenge has involved more than 26,000 outdoor enthusiasts in the past four years.

Challenge participants hike, run, walk, or backpack a total of 44 miles and visit 3 communities anywhere along the Ice Age Trail. When they do, they’ll receive a completion certificate and collector’s patch.

Along the way, participants will find ‘trail magic’: discounts and special offers at all of the 120+ participating business in 30 counties along the 1,000 miles of Wisconsin’s Ice Age Trail.

Hamilton Staff member Caroline designed and printed a commemorative letterpress poster for the event, using vintage image cuts that highlight an array of delights in the great outdoors and beyond.

Mammoth Hike Challenge participants who visit our Dry Goods store during the month of October will receive 10% off of our original “Hike” poster. 50% of the sales from this poster will be donated to the Ice Age Trail Alliance.

More than just a path through the woods, the Ice Age Trail is meant to connect people and communities. As a “community connector” ourselves, Hamilton is honored to support this initiative.
